What Is Chiropractic?

What Is Chiropractic?

The practice of chiropractic involves the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders in the neuro-musculoskeletal system, in particular issues involving the spine.

Chiropractic is a complementary discipline to traditional medicine and is regarded as a primary healthcare practitioner regulated by the General Chiropractic Council, with an independent treatment liability equal to a medical practitioner, dentist or physiotherapist.

Chiropractors are highly trained individuals, some with 6 years university degrees and ongoing yearly updated professional development training to ensure you get a well educated therapist trained with the latest advancements in the profession.

Chiropractic is ranked as the number one complementary therapy of choice worldwide with many chiropractors now integrated with medical clinics, sports organisations, Olympic committees, sports clubs and in some cases for government organisations. Our chiropractors are covered by most healthcare insurance companies.

Once you have made an appointment with one of our chiropractors you will be required to fill out a medical form online which will prepare the chiropractor with background of your medical health, this will allow your chiropractor to be able to provide you with the best treatment for your condition.

On the day of your first consultation the chiropractor will require an hour to dig deeper into your condition and your health status with further questions and a thorough examination will be required so you may be expected to take some items of clothes off for an accurate diagnosis (clinical gowns will be available but if you prefer you can come in sportswear ).

A report of findings and a working diagnosis will be explained to you, this is so you are fully informed of what may be the problem and what treatment is recommended. If it is safe to do so and you have consented to treatment, your chiropractor will provide you with your first treatment. If you not comfortable with any part of the treatment do let the chiropractor know and they may provide an alternative treatment for you.

Your chiropractor has your best interest in mind at all times and will work with you to achieve the best results. Usually most conditions require a course of treatment and this will be discussed with you on your first visit.
